Boys and Girls Club of Somerset County is a non-profit organization, solely funded through the help of our generous community and various grant awards, including the 21st Century Community Learning Grant.
Members of our after-school program will enjoy their time as we engage in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math to build thier critical thinking and problem solving skills.
The importance of after-school programs
Boys and Girls Club of Somerset County aims to bridge the critical after-school hours from 3pm-6pm, when many parents are not out of work and the children of our community need a safe place to receive a snack, homework help, enrichment activities, and physical exercise. Research suggests that this after-school structure is healthy for kids and anxiety-reducing for parents and guardians. To read more about the importance of afterschool programs in rural areas, please feel free to contact us at 814-444-7252 to tour our facility or ask questions. We've also provided a link to current research on rural after-school programs. We look forward to hearing from you!
